The four-year-old pupil of BrickHall School in Abuja, Miguel Ovoke, who died during feeding hours, was buried Today, Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Gudu Cemetery, Abuja.
It was reported that Miguel was rushed to the Excel Specialist Hospital after choking on a piece of meat during lunch at school but the hospital declared him ‘Brought in Dead’
Recall that the mother of the boy, in the company of some other people, had earlier this week gone to the school to protest, alleging the school was trying to cover up the situation.
The school’s management and Parents Teacher’s Forum had expressed heartfelt condolences to the family, describing the incident as a “heart-wrenching event.”
They acknowledged the prompt response of the school’s trained nurse and the decision to rush Miguel to the hospital but lamented that his life could not be saved.
