Four survived in Osun auto accident

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says four persons escaped death in an accident that occurred on the Ile-Ife – Ilesa highway.

A statement issued on Sunday in Osogbo by the Public Enlightenment Officer of Osun Sector Command, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi, said that the accident occurred at 2:16 p.m. at Eleweran area, 4km from the popular base on the Ile-Ife- Ilesa highway.

The statement said that a Green Mercedes Benz model C 180 with number plate BM-307AK, collided with an articulated vehicle with number plate KNT-245XP.

According to the statement, four people were involved in the accident, three males and a female.

” Two people were severely injured in the accident and rushed to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTH) for further treatment.

” The remaining two victims sustained no injuries in the accident,’’ Ogungbemi said.

The FRSC Public Enlightenment Officer advised motorists to adhere to the safety regulations in order to avert any unforeseen circumstances when using the highway.

” Safety is a shared responsibility and must be embraced by all stakeholders to avoid any form of death or loss of lives and property,” Ogungbemi said.
