Gospel artiste, Adeyinka Alaseyori, has celebrated fellow singer, Tope Alabi, on the occasion of her 51st birthday.
Alaseyori’s felicitation is coming four months after Alabi dissed her song at an event, an act that made several Nigerians called out the popular gospel entertainer.
The Oniduro singer, who shared a photo of the singer garbed in a red dress on Instagram, serenaded her with a goodwill message.
In the message, Adeyinka thanked Tope for breaking limits and boundaries and also fulfilling God’s purpose in her life.
She said, “Thank you for breaking limits and boundaries. Thank you for making it possible for most of us to dream. Thanks for holding on strong. Thank you for being all that God has called you to be. A very happy birthday to you ma’am. The best of your days have just begun ma. Congratulations momma.”
However, some Nigerians expressed surprise that Adeyinka can actually take out time to celebrate the gospel artist after the humiliation she suffered in her hands in June 2021.
The duo made headlines after Tope criticised her colleague Adeyinka Alaseyori over the latter’s song ‘Oniduro Mi’, saying it belittles God’s capacity.
According to her, the song, which means ‘My Guarantor’, does not quantify God’s powers fully.
Tope Alabi said, “God is beyond being a guarantor to Man. I’m not saying that the song is not beautiful. However, when we receive heavenly inspiration to sing, there are some deliberations we must have with the Holy Spirit before we can bring out such a song,” she said.
Reacting during her birthday concert, Adeyinka Alaseyori appealed to her fans who attacked Tope Alabi to allow peace.
