An official statement issued by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari regarding the president’s medical trip to the UK has surfaced online with discrepancies on the date.
The president, who left Nigeria on Tuesday, May 8, for his four days medical trip to the United Kingdom was discovered to have been scheduled to depart the country on May 17 for his medical checkup with his UK doctor.
The statement which was signed by Mr. Shehu had May 17 as the date it ought to have been issued to the public.
However, the development may have aroused the curiosity of some Nigerians as it appears that the president travelled before his appointment with his doctor.
Some Nigerians have become more interested in knowing the ailment the president is battling with.
