A former judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Abubakar Bashir Wali, is dead.
A family source told Vanguard that Wali died in his residence in Kano State after a protracted illness.
Wali who was said to be a pioneer legal practitioner from the northern part of Nigeria was also the first judge from the Sharia Court of Appeal to rise through the rank to become a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

The family source also added that the deceased would be buried Tuesday afternoon according to Islamic rites
