Five reasons to celebrate Easter

1 Min Read

The Season of Easter means several things to different folks. To some, it means a period of merriment. To some, it connotes a moment for sober reflection.

Many others could possibly call it a day that prophecy was fulfilled where the Messiah who was persecuted, died for our sins and rose on the third day.

Yet, a larger majority in Christendom has strong convictions that Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus from the tomb on the third day after his crucifixion.

Here are five reasons Christians across the world celebrate Easter:

1. Easter represents the moment God’s only begotten Son, Jesus, took on your death sentence, served the term, and finally said it is finished!

2. Easter is a day Jesus Himself said He’d be glorified. John 12:23-25 KJV

3. Easter is the day Jesus became Lord of both the dead and the living. Romans 14:9 KJV

4. Easter is a day that calls for solemn reflection among observant Christians.

5. It celebrates Christians’ belief in the divine power of Jesus.
