Super Eagles goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme, has made his first public appearance after he announced that his cancer is in “complete remission.”
Ikeme, who played a part in Nigeria’s qualification for the 2018 World Cup, was diagnosed with Leukemia in July 2017.
Digital Sports Editor, Nathan Judah, shared photos of Ikem’e first public appearance.
He also revealed that the 32-year-old Wolverhampton Wanderers’ goalkeeper helped in opening a new Haematology & Oncology Day unit at Solihull hospital on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old who is from Solihull looked fit and healthy as he joined Black Sabbath rock legend, Tony Iommi, to open the cancer care unit.
Judah wrote,
“Forget the game tonight…this is the best picture you’ll see today as a smiling @Carl_Ikeme makes his first public appearance since announcing he was in remission as he helped open the brand new Haematology & Oncology Day unit at Solihull Hospital.”
