First lady visits ailing actor Zack Orji in hospital
The wife of the president, Oluremi Tinubu, made a compassionate visit to the National Hospital in Abuja to check on the health of veteran Nollywood actor, Mr. Zack Orji.
Accompanying Mrs. Tinubu were notable figures, including the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima; the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye; the wife of the Minister for Works, Mrs. Rachael Umahi; and the wife of the Minister of State for Defence, Mrs. Bello Matawalle, among others.
While the First Lady’s visit primarily aimed to celebrate the first baby of the year, she also took the opportunity to spend about 13 minutes with Mr. Zack Orji, whose health had prompted concern.
Although specific details of the visit were not immediately available, it was reported that the actor’s health has shown improvement since his admission to the National Hospital.
Kennedy-Ohanenye’s intervention played a crucial role in ensuring that Orji received optimal medical attention at the national hospital.
National Hospital Public Relations Officer Tayo Hastrup provided an update, stating, “He has started talking. He is in stable condition. His wife is by his side. We really thank God for him.”
The veteran actor was admitted to the National Hospital over the weekend after reportedly collapsing in his toilet.
