Reports reaching us indicate that fire gutted a popular massive building at Martin street, Lagos Island.
This was made known in the pictures that emerged on the internet few hours ago.
It was reported that unconfirmed number of people were still trapped inside the building as the fire rages on. Officials of the Lagos Fire service were seen arriving the scene of the incident to save the day as well as minimise the damages.
It was gathered that one of the affected shops belonged to a woman who recently took delivery of goods worth millions of naira.
