The Federal Government has launched a new online platform to help Nigerians and businesses apply for citizenship and business permits faster and more easily.

The announcement was made on Friday, May 16, by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Magdalene Ajani, in Abuja.

According to Ajani, the new *Online Citizenship and Business Management Platform* is part of the ministry’s plan to improve how services are delivered to the public.

She said the platform was created to help manage citizenship applications, process business permits, and handle rules related to businesses and foreign workers in Nigeria.

“This platform is designed to make the application and processing of services faster and more user-friendly,” she explained.

Ajani added that the move is part of the ministry’s wider reform plans aimed at promoting transparency and improving how things work in the system.

“Members of the public, corporate bodies, and other stakeholders can now access the platform through the Ministry’s official website: [https://interior.gov.ng](https://interior.gov.ng),” she said.

“For direct access to the portal, visit: [https://candb.interior.gov.ng](https://candb.interior.gov.ng). For help or questions, users can send an email to: [candb-support@interior.gov.ng](mailto:candb-support@interior.gov.ng).”

She also stressed that the Ministry of Interior is fully committed to creating a better, more efficient and secure system for managing citizenship and business services through digital technology.

The new platform is expected to reduce delays, cut down on paperwork, and make the process more transparent for everyone.
