Seun took to Instagram on Friday and shared a short video in remembrance of his father.

“Just how I remember you. Rest In Peace. #22 #getthesax,” he wrote.

The icon’s self-pioneered Afrobeat sound put Nigerian music, culture, arts and sounds on a new pedestal in the world as lyrics of his songs continue to remain relevant in the current political and economic crime in Nigeria.

Fela Kuti left the world with a rich repertoire of music and albums including Why Black Man Dey Suffer in 1971, Shakara in 1972, Afrodisiac in 1973 and Gentleman in 1973.
