Fayose sets Twitter abuzz as he welcomes Okorocha to EFCC alumni

Fayose Okorocha

Former Governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose never ceases to amaze with his amusing lifestyle.

While he was in office and after leaving office, he is seen by many social media users as a banter king with his petty responses to issues on the cyberspace.

WuzupNaija reports that in his usual petty way, he took to Twitter a few months ago to taunt former Governor of Ogun state Ibikunle Amosun when his anointed candidate lost in the March governorship election.

His pettiness took a new dimension on Thursday when he reacted to reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arrested the former Governor of Imo state Rochas Okorocha and his wife Gerald.

Fayose took to Twitter to react to the report and welcome the former governor to the ‘EFCC Alumni’.

Recall that the EFCC had threatened to arrest Fayose when his tenure expires as governor.

He surrendered himself for probe at the EFCC’s office in Abuja wearing a T-shirt with an inscription “EFCC I’m here”. The inscription also became a Twitter trend.

He wrote via his verified handle:

“Just reading that Okorocha was arrested by EFCC. True or not, we knew this day will come. However, I welcome him to the EFCC Alumni & enjoin the commission not to look away from Amosun too. While I encourage them to surrender themselves as I did,I welcome Mr Okorocha to the club.”

The tweet has sparked hilarious reactions from Nigerians on social media.
