Fast and Furious actors, Tyrese Gibson and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson have finally settled their differences, local media reports.
The duo has been in a feud since 2017 after Tyrese labelled Johnson selfish over the release of the spin-off (Hobbs & Shaw) which pushed back the release date for Fast 9.
Speaking to TMZ in 2017, Tyrese said:
“[Dwayne] is the reason we’re pushing the release date back now
“I just got a problem with Dwayne.
“It appears that he’s being selfish.
“It appears that he’s so focused on furthering his own self-interests.
“He’s making decisions from the seat that he’s sitting in.”
Responding to the comment in 2018, Johnson replied by saying:
“I always feel like a beef requires two people to actually jump in it, and it was really one-sided, and he had voiced his opinion a lot on social media.
“Apparently, he was going through some stuff too in his personal life. We haven’t talked and I don’t see where we would, and to me, there’s no need to have a conversation.”
However, after burying the hatchets, 41-year-old Tyrese confirmed in a new interview that they have patched things up.
“I actually said this about The Rock, and me and The Rock peaced up by the way,” he said.
“We talked for four hours about three weeks ago. We talked. We did at least four hours, it was great.”
