The former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode today, November 14, 2016, regained his freedom after spending 24 days in EFCC detention over a N26 million money laundering charges.
According to reports, Fani-Kayode, who was arrested by EFCC operatives on October 21, 2016, regained his freedom today after he fulfilled his N50m bail application today.
The former Director of Media and Publicity, Campaign Committee of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was granted bail in the sum of N50 million and one surety in like sum on Friday, November 10, 2016. But was unable to meet up with the bail conditio.
Meanwhile, after coming out of detention moments ago, Fani-Kayode took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Thanks be to God. After another 24 days in detention I am finally out. Thanks for all your love, prayers and support. We shall prevail.”
In less than an hour, the tweet got 150 re-tweets and 129 favourites.

Fani-Kayode is charged alongside a former Minister of Finance, Nenandi Usman, and Danjuma Yusuf. The case has been adjourned to Wednesday, December 14, 2016 for trial.
