Family of five who died in Abuja Christmas Day crash buried
A family of five who died in a lone accident on Kubwa-Zuba expressway in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Christmas Day has been buried.
Samson Alowe, 42; his wife, Opeyemi, 40; daughter, Angel, 12; and two sons, Prosper, 10, and Fortune, 8, were buried at the Gudu Cemetery in Abuja on Friday.
Family and friends cried uncontrollably as the deceased were lowered into their graves in white coffins.
The Alowes died in a lone accident after their Toyota SUV with registration number KUJ 615 TU ran into an electric pole.
All five family occupants of the vehicle driven by their father were subsequently burnt to death.
Their charred bodies were removed from the vehicle by Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) operatives and evacuated to the Kubwa General Hospital mortuary.
