A trailer carrying container fell off on the Ojuelegba bridge early morning Friday, fortunately, no one was hurt.
The accident caused heavy traffic gridlock that stretched along the ever busy Ikorodu road and adjoining roads.
Eyewitnesses at the scene told our correspondent that the incident caused huge panic in the area when it happened as many residents feared the container might be carrying explosives because of the sound that was heard when it fell.
This is coming on the back of last year’s tragedy when a container fell off quashing a jeep and the family inside.
The lack of casualties was probably due to the fact that the container didn’t fall off the edge of the bridge.
When our correspondent got to the scene of the incident, some LASTMA and FRSC officials were seen making frantic effort to remove the fallen container.
