The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has diverted flight processing from the Temporary Terminal 3 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, following an electrical spark in an operational office that caused smoke emission.

According to a statement by FAAN, the terminal was briefly shut down around 2:05 pm on Thursday.

“Electrical maintenance is currently ongoing to ensure that all electrical systems are functioning optimally ahead of the terminal’s reopening,” the statement read.

All flights that currently operate from Terminal 3 have been diverted to Terminal 2, and passengers are hereby advised accordingly.
