This was disclosed in a public complaint filed by her legal team, Falana and Falana’s Chambers dated April 9th 2021.

The correspondence obtained by WuzupNigeria is titled, “Complaint over fraudulent use of the name of Mrs Obiageli Ezekwesili as a director of the Alpha Reach Limited RC No: 1066507 incorporated in 2012. Demand for full disclosure and public apology.”

According to the legal document, the former minister accused Omojuwa of enlisting her as a director of his company, Alpha Beta Limited, without her consent.

The document also revealed that Omojuwa who is the promoter and chief strategist of the company delisted her from the directors without her notice.

“Sometime in 2012 a company called Alpha Reach Limited was incorporated at the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja. The company has as its object general Construction (Building and civil Engineering) and had listed as its Directors; Japheth Omojuwa, Damilola Ogunleye, El-Rufai Nasir and Ezekwesili Obiageli,” the statement read.

However, Ezekwesili revealed that “in the year 2017, a notice of Change of Directors (Form CAC7A) was filed through which the list of Directors was altered and the name of our Client; Mrs. Ezekwesili Obiageli was removed as a Director and replaced with Mallam Indimi Ahmed Mohammed.”

Ezekwesili revealed that she caught the wind of the alleged fraudulent act “on March 30, 2021, (when) someone from Buzzfeed informing her that she was listed as one of the Directors of Alpha Reach Limited” and she was “certain that she has never been involved in incorporating any company” or Alpha Reach which has since metamorphosed into “a Digital Media Company engaged in Online Reputation Management while you; Mr Japhet Omojuwa is its founder and Chief Strategist.”

After conducting due diligence search and investigations, Ezekwesili said the revealed that Omojuwa “never sought for her consent and/or participation in incorporating any company whatsoever and for any purpose whatsoever.

“That you neither sought for nor obtained the requisite incorporation documents and information the CAC would require in processing the registration.”

The former minister has however demanded “a public statement/apology exonerating our client from the incorporation process and activities of the Alpha Reach Limited.”

She also stated that Omojuwa must “give a detailed account (to our client via correspondence) the circumstances leading to the incorporation of the Alpha Reach Limited.”

Omojuwa is also expected to “attach the Certified True Copies of all the incorporation documents ” submitted at the Corporate Affairs Commission in the course of registering the submitted to the CAC during registration as well as “details of all the financial dealings of the Company from 2012 to 2017.”

Ezekwesili warned that failure to meet the aforementioned demands would leave her “with no choice but to employ all legal avenue(s) to seek redress.”
