A former member of the House of Representatives, Ismail Inah, has decamped from the People’s Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress ahead of the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State.

Inah, who represented the Idah Federal Constituency, was received into the APC by the party’s chairman in the state, Abdullahi Bello, in Ajaka, Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area.

Speaking during the event, Inah said he defected to the APC because of the desire to contribute to the development of Kogi and the country as a whole.

He also praised the APC-led government under Governor Yahaya Bello for instituting unity, security, and overall development in the state.

Inah assured the APC that he would mobilize massively for the party and ensure its victory in the forthcoming election.

Bello, in his welcome remarks, commended Inah and his supporters for joining the APC and assured them of equal opportunities alongside existing party members.

Also present at the event were the APC’s governorship candidate, Usman Ododo; his deputy governorship candidate, Joel Oyibo; and the Kogi Commissioner for Transportation, Baron Okwoli.

Oyibo, in his remarks, said the crowd at the event was a clear indication that the people of Kogi believed strongly in the APC.

He assured the people that Ododo, when elected as governor, would consolidate the unity, security, and infrastructure development instituted by Bello.
