Ex-Kogi dep gov hails Ododo on election victory

Former Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, has extended his congratulations to the All Progressives Congress candidate, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, on his victory in the recently concluded governorship election in the state.

Awoniyi, in a statement issued on Monday, lauded the victory as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and trust that the people of Kogi State have in the governor-elect. He also commended outgoing Governor Yahaya Bello for his commitment to ensuring a peaceful election.

“I congratulate the leader of our party, the APC, Governor Yahaya Bello for leading us to victory. His sermon for a violence-free election was manifested,” Awoniyi remarked.

In a call for unity, Awoniyi urged Ododo to extend his hand of fellowship to his fellow contestants, emphasizing the need to heal all wounds and unite all segments of the state.
