Former Big Brother Naija star, Uriel Oputa, has offered candid advice to music producer and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, urging him to reconsider the kind of women he dates.
Don Jazzy had recently revealed that he finds it difficult to remain sexually committed to one woman.
His comment stirred reactions across social media, prompting Uriel to weigh in on the matter during an episode of the Outside The Box Podcast.
Reacting to Don Jazzy’s statement, Uriel suggested that his inability to commit might be linked to his dating preferences. She encouraged him to explore relationships with a different type of woman, hinting that a shift in perspective could change his views on commitment.
“I love Don Jazzy, I love him like no other. He’s such an amazing person. But I feel like when he said that he’s unable to be sexually committed to one woman, it boils down to the type of women he goes for. If I see him, I will tell him to try a different type of woman,” she said.
She went on to comment more broadly on dating culture in Nigeria, criticizing what she described as a superficial approach among many men.
“A lot of the men in Nigeria don’t date for substance. They date for what they see physically, on the outside. That translates to the majority of Nigerian men. They cannot stay with one woman because they don’t date for substance,” she added.
“So, you’re dating for physique; of course, you’re going to see someone with a better physique because you’re not dating for what the woman really has, her mindset.”
