Former France captain, Evra dedicates African Queen song to all mothers

Former Manchester United and France National football team captain, Patrice Evra took to Instagram on Friday to celebrate all African mothers.

In a video published on the photo sharing platform, the 36-year-old dedicated Tuface Idibia’s 2004 hit song, African Queen to all the mothers.

“This is for all the mothers all around the world. A mother is really important, so precious… so respect her,” the Frenchman said in the video after singing a few lines of the song.

“A Mum is important …do you listen to me…?? And mama I love you, you know why because you are my African queen, the girl of my dreams! mama, I love you so much.”

Evra who currently plays for French Lique 1 team, Marseille after three years with Italian club Juventus is known for his inspirational posts on Instagram. In October 2016, the Senegal-born French international posted the story of a cancer survivor, Alice Clarkson, he visited along with Manchester United team mates who thanked him for the visit after six years later.
