Europa: Kjær rescues point for AC Milan after Diallo nets first United goal
English club, Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Italian giant, AC Milan, in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 16 clash at Old Trafford on Thursday.
Milan head to Old Trafford without a number of vital players including ex-United striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mario Mandzukic, Hakan Calhanoglu, Theo Hernandez, Ismael Bennacer, and Alessio Romagnoli.
United were equally without Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani due to injury while Solskjaer fielded Bailly at centre-back in place of Lindelof, Telles replaced Luke Shaw and Fred was dropped for Nemanja Matic.
After 50 minutes of a goalless action at Old Trafford, the home team drew the first blood through as January signing, Amad Diallo scored his first goal for the club.
However, Milan had the last laugh as Simon Kjær headed in a late equaliser with both teams sharing the spoils.
Milan would be looking to eliminate the English giants when they visit the San Siro Stadium for the second leg next week.
