The Plateau State Tourism Corporation has confirmed the successful recovery of the missing hyena from the Jos Wildlife Park.
General Manager Chuwang Pwajok, in a statement from Jos, expressed gratitude to the public for their cooperation during the search and rescue operation.
“We deeply appreciate the general public for remaining calm and cooperative. This has greatly assisted in the search and rescue of the animal,” Pwajok stated.
The incident unfolded when the Plateau State Tourism Corporation initially reported the escape of a hyena from the Jos Wildlife Park. Promptly, a dedicated team of game guards and park rangers, aided by drone technology, launched an immediate search and tracking operation.
Assuring the public, the corporation emphasized that all necessary measures were taken to locate the escaped hyena swiftly and ensure its safe return to the park.
