Premier League champions, Manchester City, started their title defence on the back foot after a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s title-winning side came into the game with the hopes of pulling a last-minute move for Tottenham’s Harry Kane who was absent in the game but they were outgunned by a Spurs side under the new management of Nuno Espirito Santo.

However, the Spaniard handed a new record signing, Jack Grealish, his debut and the Englishman had a decent first game for the Citizens.

Lucas Moura led a quick break to Steven Bergwijn, teeing up South Korea’s Heung Min Son who scored the only goal of the match in 55th-minute.

More to come…
