EPL: Arsenal return to top four with 2-0 win over Leicester
Arsenal returned to the fourth position on the Premier League standings after defeating Leicester City 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The Gunners took an early lead through Ghanaian star, Thomas Partey, after just 11 minutes before French striker, Alexandre Lacazette, doubled the lead with a penalty in the 59th minute.
Mikel Arteta’s side recorded a league double over The Foxes for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
Leicester, on the other hand, extended their away losing streak to five out of their last six league matches.
Arsenal have won each of their last five Premier League games, joining Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea as the only sides to win five in a row during the 2021-22 campaign, according to reports.
The Gunners remain favourites to finish fourth ahead of Manchester United who trail an Arsenal side who have three outstanding matches by one point in fifth place.
