Why I make sweet music – Olakira
Multitalented instrumentalist and record producer, Ade Ebenezer, popularly known as Olakira has revealed that growing up in Nigeria and living in penury is the reason he makes sweet music.
Olakira, in an exclusive interview with The Nation, explained that life can be sometimes depressing and so he always looks for ways to make himself happy and that’s when happy songs come in.
He said; “Growing up in Nigeria made me very ambitious, resilient and the need to find joy and happiness in every situation.
“I learnt that life, sometimes, can be really depressing, so I always look for ways to make myself and people happy and that’s why I make sweet happy music.”
Speaking further, Olakira revealed why he falls in love with women ever so lightly.
According to the ‘In my Maserati’ singer, being raised by a single mum made him fall in love and appreciate women.
Olakira who was raised in the midst of six brothers said music shows how much he loves and adores women.
“Being raised by a single mum made me fall in love with the woman and appreciate them. You can sense this in my music.”
