Nigerian singer-songwriter, Tiwa Savage, has joined the June 12 Democracy Day protest in Lagos as Nigerians kick against bad governance and insecurity in the country.

The queen of Afro-pop was spotted on her way to the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota where protesters were previously dispersed by the police who fired tear gas canisters and gunshots in the air.

She was joined by popular radio personality, Toke Makinwa, and a few other celebrities en route the protest ground, according to a video uploaded on Instagram by @tiwasavagesports on Saturday.
