Nollywood actress, Lilian Gabriel, on Tuesday recounted how she was scammed by a man who claimed to be a revered prophet in Asaba, Delta state capital.
Recalling the incident, an emotional Lilian disclosed that the man had accosted her with some startling revelation about what he claimed was a vision concerning her life.
"Your mom left two years ago, and your dad died when you were little", He asked
The mortified actress said she could only nod her head at that point.
The self-acclaimed prophet then went on with a pseudo assurance that "I should not worry as today marks the end of my suffering, seeing that I have been struggling since my mum left".
Continuing, Lilian reminisced how he told her that since she is an orphan, God was about to wipe away her tears.
To claim the blessings, she was asked to bring out her ATM card for an anointing prayer that would usher in the needed miracle and breakthrough that she earnestly desired.
The actress did as he instructed and, after minutes of calling on the hosts of heaven and speaking in tongues, she was asked to immediately return it into her purse.
Unknown to her, the purported man of God had swapped her ATM card with fake.
A hapless Lilian said the scale fell of her eyes when she started receiving debit alerts after he left the Asaba preacher.
She averred that it dawned on her at that moment that the suspected fraudster had hacked into her account and withdrew all her savings.
