Nigerian comedian, Stanley Chibuna - popularly known as Funny Bone, has advised British-Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua against fighting Tyson Fury for the unified heavyweight champion bout.
Funny Bone's message on Instagram comes after Fury fought back two fourth-round knockdowns to stop Deontay Wilder in the 11th round Saturday night.
The Gypsy King retained his WBC title in a breathtaking heavyweight trilogy that stalled the much anticipated unified heavyweight fight with Joshua.
Fans would have to wait further to see the Joshua vs Fury fight after the former lost his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight championship belts to former undisputed cruiserweight champion and the WBO's heavyweight mandatory challenger, Oleksandr Usyk, on September 25.
Seemingly terrified about the defeat of Wilder who openly displayed his Nigerian heritage as he donned a bead-necklace and orange face mask in the ring walk to his defeat to Fury, Funny Bone advised Joshua who also has a Nigerian heritage with Ogun State not to go down like his Edo State brother, Wilder.
According to the comedian, Joshua who has exercised a rematch clause against Usyk should focus on regaining his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO belts.
However, Funny Bone urged Joshua not to take up a fight against Fury should he succeed in reclaiming his belts in the rematch in 2022.
