Tiwa Savage trends as Oxlade announces Columbia UK Record deal
Singer Tiwa Savage has become a trending topic on Twitter following Oxlade’s announcement of a new record deal with Columbia Records UK.
Oxlade made the announcement on Twitter on Wednesday.
Following the announcement, popular Twitter influencer Daniel Regha on the social media platform decried the gender bias in society.
According to him, Tiwa Savage lost multiple endorsement deals after her sex tape went viral but male singer, Oxlade, was rewarded with an international record deal after his own sex tape scandal.
He said, “Oxlade got signed to Columbia Records UK after his sex scandal, whereas Tiwa Savage reportedly lost multiple endorsement deals after hers; What a world.
“Don’t mean to be a killjoy but this alone promotes gender bias in today’s society & it’s appalling to say the least. No shades.”
However, @Ehizjay, while responding to Regha said there should be no comparison between the two.
@Ehizjay said, “I’m not siding anyone but if you check the difference amongst both of them Oxlade is young and probably still single but Tiwa is a married woman who’s divorced on many occasions. If you’re going around sleeping with younger guys pls guide yourself while doing it, unlike Oxlade.”
@Chike said also said, “Nah… Oxlade isn’t signed as an ambassador to any brand while Tiwa is an ambassador to multiple big brands. Get your facts right.”
