It was indeed a black Monday as popular Hollywood actor, Michael K. Williams was found dead in his apartment in Brooklyn penthouse.

According to law enforcement agents, he was suspected to have died from a drug overdose.

“No foul play indicated. No forced entry, the apartment was in order,” a Police source told the New York Post.

Meanwhile, this sad news has thrown many Hollywood stars, his fans and followers into a melancholic state.

Reacting to news of his death, actor and comedian Marlon Wayans in an Instagram post said; "My bro… F*CK!!! Your last words to me was at the @respectmovie premiere you grabbed me by the neck, hugged me and said “beautiful work brother. That meant so much from you. I love you bro. So talented, an amazing human and a gracious soul… rest well bro @bkbmg tell @mybadfuu “what’s goody”?!(sic).

Storyteller and social activist, Chief Ugo Mozie II said; "A talent, an Icon, Rest in power."

Also, popular American rapper Fat Joe while sharing his condolences wrote via his verified Instagram account, "Damn @bkbmg you had so much more life in you. Look at you always smiling and bringing good energy. It is a sad day, you will be truly missed, my brother. Rest in Peace to the legend Michael Williams."

In a Twitter post, his Home Box Office crew said; "We are devastated to learn of the passing of Michael Kenneth Williams, an HBO family member for more than 20 years.

"While the world knew of his immense talents, we knew Michael as a dear friend. We send our deepest condolences to his family for this immeasurable loss"
