Yul Edochie Nigeria Plan B

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has stated that he won’t join the wagon of those finding an escape route out of Nigeria following the alarming rate of insecurity.

Edochie who has made public his interest to run for presidency in 2023 made the statement on his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.

His statement comes after the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, on Sunday, advised the members of his congregation to seek an alternative plan out of Nigeria.

“…Pastor Ifeanyi (his wife) is busy …preparing our escape route. If you don’t have a plan B. I know you have faith, I have faith too but I have a plan B… Get yourself a plan B. Whether that’s an Okada to Cameroon or flying boat to Seme Border. Just get yourself a plan B,” Adefarasin said in his sermon last Sunday.

The viral video has since gone viral on social media with many Nigerians considering what their next destination would be should such doom prediction happens.

However, amidst the heightened fear of Nigeria’s possible disintegration through war, Edochie argued that there’s no point in fleeing the country.

He claimed that he was “sent by God to liberate” Nigerians and as such, he would stay put in his fatherland, adding that escaping won’t stop anyone from dying someday.

“Jakpa is not the answer. Yes, no one wants to lose his life but truth is, we’ll all die someday, all of us. So what’s the point of running?

“I’m a man sent by God to liberate his people. I will not run from my fatherland. We must get it right. My plan B is ‘NO LEAVE NO TRANSFER’,” Edochie told his 609 thousand followers.
