Bearly 24 hours after premiering on the streaming platform in Netflix, Funke Akindele's 'Omo Ghetto: The Saga' is currently charting NO.1 on the streaming app.
The 2020 comedy feature-length which dropped on Netflix on September 10 is a sequel to Akindele's 2010 'Omo Ghetto' trilogy.
It was announced by Filmhouse Cinema, owned by the movie's distribution company, FilmOne, on Instagram on Saturday.
Echoing the feat, Akindele reposted to the viewing of her Instagram followers.
"#OmoGhettoTheSaga is currently number 1 on #NetflixNaija.
"Number on the Box Office at the time of its release now number 1 on #Netflix.
"This Movie is a hit back to back. Make sure you watch it today," the post read.
The repost has attracted over 23.7 thousand likes and comments from her followers including celebs like 'king of Boys' star, Sola Sobowale, Zubby Michael and Eniola Badmus amongst others.
According to a record released by Clinical Embryologists Association of Nigeria after about seven weeks of the movie's release, Omo Ghetto: The Saga become the second-highest film, moving 'Avengers: Endgame' to the number three spot.
