Kanye West hires homeless persons as models for next fashion show

Kanye West is taking his aspiration to help the homeless community in Los Angeles come to reality by collaborating on a new fashion line with streetwear brand Skid Row Fashion Week which benefits the homeless, according to TMZ.

David Sebastian, Founder of Skid Row Fashion Week, disclosed they are creating a Yeezy x Skid Row Fashion Week range with plans to hire the homeless as models in an upcoming fashion show.

Skid Row Fashion Week already aims to assist those experiencing homelessness with a portion of sales donated to help those living on Skid Row. The company also has their clothing made through a factory which employs the homeless.

Sebastian told the site he and Kanye decided to collaborate on the project earlier this month, and plan on having 100% of proceeds from the new range assisting the Skid Row community

Proceeds from the line will also go towards hiring those experiencing homelessness to be employed at the Skid Row Fashion Week factory.

Sebastian added that they also want to hire the factory workers to serve as models in an upcoming Yeezy X SRFW fashion show.

The new collaboration will be released on February 22.

Although, this is not the first time Kanye has expressed interest in helping the homeless community.
