Nigerian Idol star Jemiriye opens up on affair with Nollywood’s Lateef Adedimeji
Songstress and former Nigerian Idol star Adeniji Jemiriye has reacted to the claims that she is in a sizzling romance with dark-skinned Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji.
Jemeriye’s mesmeric performance at the AHBEA awards held in Houston, Texas in 2018 sparked speculations of a romance between the duo.
The highlight of the event was the performance by Nigerian, US-based international singer, Jemiriye Adeniji who dished out a pulsating rhythm to the audience.
During the performance, popular actor Lateef Adedimeji, who was also one of the hosts, was waiting on stage, and couldn’t control himself as he focused on Jemiriye’s big backside.
At a point during her performance, Jemiriye dragged Lateef up for a dance which many tagged as a flirting session.
While many were busy commenting on whether or not the romance story was true, Jemiriye kept mum but her silence which we presume was aimed at having the rumours die a natural death only fueled it thereby giving the tale more credence.
When she was reached out to for her reaction to the nagging tale of romance, she simply responded:
“No comment for now.”
On the heels of the opening of Nigerian Idol 2021, Jemiriye also lent her voice to support contestants with the lofty dream to win the grand prize and those nursing doubt on the way to stardom.
She had these to say:
“I’m a product of that prestigious platform, and I’d always encourage every contestant that the grand prize is great, but it guarantees nothing. Making it to the house alone makes you a star automatically. That is what to leverage on. The fame can culminate into the making of a greater you.”
