I suffered as teenage boy before I hit stardom – Timaya
Founder of DM Records Limited, singer and songwriter, Inetimi Timaya, on Monday recalled how he suffered as a boy, adding that how he hawked plantain throughout his teenage years to survive.
Going down memory lane at a performance at the Coca-Cola Urban Music Festival at the Eko Energy City, Victoria Island, the ‘Don Dada’ singer stated that he is grateful to God for all that he has attained despite suffering so much as a boy.
“I used to sell plantain but now I am rich. I suffered so much as a boy but I am now a rich man. Thanks to God.
“If you’re here and you think you are suffering, do not give up. Keep pushing because you will surely succeed,” he said.
