I didn’t submit my film for nomination, Toyin Abraham clears air on 2022 AMVCA snub
Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, on Wednesday explained why she didn’t get nominated for the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award.
The actress confessed that she didn’t appear on the nomination list because her film was not submitted to AMVCA.
The 39-year-old spoke up in an Instagram post on Wednesday when a fan expressed concern over the absence of her movie ‘The Ghost and the Tout Too’ on the nomination list,.
She replied, “Film submitted are nominated and if you don’t submit they won’t nominate you. I hope that answers your question and last year I got nominated and won so it is not all the time so let’s focus on this year’s nominee cos they all deserve it,” she explained.
Toyin bagged the Best Actress in Africa award at the 2020 AMVCA for her role in the movie ‘Elevator Baby.’
She was also nominated for her role in ‘Kasanova’ and ‘Bling Lagosian.’
