Big Brother Naija season six housemate, Hazel Onou, has revealed the orign of his moniker, ‘Whitemoney’.
Onou came into the house 39days ago with his identity 'Whitemoney' which stood out amongst the contestants but it did raise questions in the minds of viewers of the reality TV show.
However, during a chat with fellow housemate, Mercy Atang, popularly known as Queen on Wednesday, Whitemoney revealed that the moniker was given to him by God.
While discussing in the Kitchen, Whitemoney also called 'White' told Queen that he recieved the revelation of the name via a dream, having previously told her that his friends gave him the nickname.
“The first day I came, I asked you, ‘why is your name Whitemoney?’ So what is the motivation? Why are you called Whitemoney?” asked Queen during the discussion.
But in response, Whitemoney answered, “I didn’t give myself that name. It was given to me by God.”
Shocked by his response, Queen said, “God? But you said it was from your friends.”
Whitemoney said, “Because that’s what I wanted you to know” prompting Queen to ask a followup question, “So how did God give you Whitemoney? You saw it in your dream?”
Whitemoney replied, “I prayed for it. I woke up with it in my mouth. Believe it or not, that’s the truth. If I tell people, they may not believe me. So I just say people gave me Whitemoney.
“I prayed that I needed a name that would stand out; a name that would cause controversy.”
