Prophet Gabriel Evans of His Majesty Evangelical Ministry has expressed admiration for the musical talents of controversial musician, Naira Marley, during a recent sermon.
The cleric during a sermon referred to the artiste’s hit track 'Aye' (literarily meaning Life), released in 2020.
He said Naira Marley may be seen smoking cannabis, some of his tracks convey deep messages.
“That boy only smokes weed, he’s in his right senses. Naira Marley, his head is intact," Evans said.
The cleric then sang the chorus of Aye which has more than 5 milllion views on YouTube.
“Aye yi o le (Life is not hard), Aye lo m’aye le (The people of the world makes life hard), Ninu aye lo ti di f’aye (Inside life makes it hard for life), Aye yi o le (Life is not hard).
“Eyin le ma sin iya yin (You all will bury your mothers). Or you don’t want to bury your mother?” Evans asked the congregation.
It's no doubt that Naira Marley has a huge influence among the youths, but now he is gradually making his way into the hearts of ministers of the gospel.
WuzupNigeria, you'll recall also reported a video shared of guests vibing to his song on his Instagram page at President Muhammadu Buhari's son's wedding.
Enthusiastically the artiste said he would have loved to be present at the wedding.
Naira Marley while sharing the video clip said, “This was at Buhari’s son wedding yesterday in Kano. I’m a certified hit maker apparently, anytime you hear Naira Marley your home training must japa.
“I wish I was at this wedding sha looks too fun, I love them in the North and they love me too.”
