American rapper and songwriter, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus, aka Cardi B, has deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts after she clashed with fans over her absence at the 2022 Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
The war of words got out of hand when some of her overzealous followers went further to bash her children, which caused the ‘Money’ singer vowed to delete her account on social media platforms.
She tweeted, “I’m deleting my Twitter On God I hate this f**kin dumbass fan base,” she tweeted before deactivating her account.
“You got the slow dumbasses dragging my kids all cause y’all [thought] I was going to the Grammys and I didn’t the f**k?”
Cardi also in an Instagram Live shortly after deleting her Twitter explained to her fans and followers why she got “irritated.”
She said; “Do I have any new music. Why would I show up with one nomination? And I lost it anyways, so you wanted me to go to the Grammys, lose an award and me just be there smiling like, ‘That’s great, that’s great.’ Like, come on now my n—a. Come on now. I don’t like that sh*t.”
