TV presenter, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, says if bringing marital issues to social media gives many people the inner peace they desire, nothing should stop them from doing it.
The statement of Morayo, the delectable host of 'Your View', a news commentary programme on TVC, is coming on the heel of the 2face dibia saga that has been making the rounds on social media.
According to the daughter of the late Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) chief, Alao Aka-Bashorun, most times, an attempt to privately resolve issues has done more harm than good.
"Private family resolution of issues have robbed many women of their truth
"Yes, certain things should be private but if screaming out on social media gives you peace by all means do it
"Just make sure it indeeds gives you peace
"At the end of the day, be mature and confident enough to face the consequences, if any
"Before I’m misquoted, I’m not saying it’s ok to spill family secrets on social media.
"My point is many women are beaten, battered and bruised yet they are asked to resolve in private when the perpetrators are consoled.
"So, if shouting on SM helps you, pls do.
"Sharing problems to family, friends, church, clubs members and social media are all platforms.
"Choose the one that you find most therapeutic," she said.
