Twitter users have hit out the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye for not joining the EndSARS protests.
There have been protests across the country to demand an end to brutality by the officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) whit demonstrations seen in Lagos, Delta, Benin, Ibadan and Abuja amongst others.
Adeboye, on Friday, tweeted a prayer against terrorism in the country.
“I decree in the Name that is above every other name, any terrorist and any sponsor of terrorists in Nigeria, will not see the new year,” his tweet read.

The tweet attracted mixed reactions from Nigerians who fell he has not been vocal about the #EndsSARS protest and some who feel that prayers can’t solve the problem of Nigeria.

One user identified as @OmobulejoTobi said, “Hello sir… No dey decree anything… God won’t come down and help us, na we go help ourselves… We all should stop leaving our earthly matter In God’s hand biko…”

Another with the user name @OlawaleHamzah, replying to Adeboye’s tweet said, “Only if prayer builds a nation, Nigeria would’ve been better than USA. Sir, you have their contacts, Call them. Let them know what they’re doing is wrong, tell them they will not see new year on the phone not here where they can’t see it.”
