After security operatives in military uniforms shot at unarmed #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate, Nigerians have had to rely solely on their social media voice hence the continued #EndSars trend on micro-blogging platform Twitter.
The government and the military have continued to counter the claims of many that some lives were lost as a result of the shooting.
The military, as well as the Federal Government of Nigeria, have been consistent with their claims that there were no casualties because the soldiers did not fire directly at or use live ammunition on the protesters.
Today being the 7th day in the month of December in the year 2020, Nigerian youths have reportedly taken to the streets yet again, in what has been tagged the second wave of the #ENDSARs movement, to continue to air their grievances.
The second wave of the protest has garnered so much publicity that it is the number one trend on Twitter with many lending their voice to the #ENDSARs and #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria.
