#EndSARS: Spar sympathises with Lagosians despite suffering vandalism
Mega shopping mall, Spar Nigeria, has expressed sympathy with Lagosians amid the recent chaos across the state despite the vandalism of its Lekki store.
The retail superstore along with other private and public-owned establishments suffered vandalism at the hands of hoodlums who hijacked the #EndSARS peaceful protest against police brutality.
While assessing the damage done to its Lekki store on Friday, Spar shared a video of the destroyed store on its official Twitter page.
The company, however, said that it is not a time for anger but a time to rebuild its supermarket as well as Lagos State.
The tweet read, “We assessed the damage at Lekki, and are confident we’ll be back even stronger! Truth be told, we sympathise with the people who needed to resort to this kind of destruction. No time for anger. Time to rebuild – and we don’t mean just the supermarket. #SPARstrong #StayFocused”

“There’s too much love in Nigeria for us to be overcome by mayhem and hate. We’ve all got a job to do to make things right. Stay Focused. Be the Solution,” it added in another tweet.
The company, however, informed Lagosians that its stores in Victoria Island and Ikoyi will open from 9AM to 4PM tomorrow, October 24, adding the stores Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Calabar will be open as well “while all others will remain closed for now.”
