British-British actor John Boyega has joined a host of Nigerians to call for an end to brutality by the officials of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

The movie star who also actively participated in the Black Lives Matter protest took to his official Twitter account to call for change.

In a series of tweets, the Star Wars actor said that Nigerian deserve good leadership and guidance.

“The youth in Nigeria deserve good leadership and guidance. This situation is tied to many other issues. Please lend your attention to this pressing problem!” he said.

According to Boyega, the alleged reformation of the SARS force has not yielded any positive change since the reorganization three years ago.

“Three years ago Nigeria’s police chief re-organised SARS after public condemnation about the violence that came with their operations. That change has done nothing for Nigerians and today many are still in danger. #EndSarsProtests
