EndSARS: How to ‘minimize police harassment’ at Lekki toll gate – Falz

Ace rapper, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has released the modalities for the #EndSARS Memorial parade holding at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State on October 20, 2021.

Dubbed a ‘Car Procession’ the event will hold tomorrow, exactly one year after the unsolved massacre of protesters by uniform wearing operatives.

While there are growing concerns about a possible police clampdown during tomorrow’s event with the Lagos police already on standby at the site, Falz has maintained that Nigerians must “memorialize our fallen heroes”.

However, the ‘Bop Daddy’ rapper said the victims of 20/10/20 won’t be honoured with a demonstration but a car parade to “minimise police harassment”.

He however urged all participants to remain in their cars during the parade and noted that there would be cars for non-mobile participants upon request.

“We will never ever forget that Innocent Nigerian citizens waved flags and sang till they were shot at, injured, and killed.

“We must never forget we are rolling up in cars tomorrow to drive through the tollgate. We know their way, so a procession of cars is the safest option to minimize police harassment.

“We will stay in our vehicles throughout. We have rides for people that need them. Each and everyone’s safety is very important so please let’s move together,” he said.
