EndSARS: Gov Seyi Makinde deploys Operation Burst to protect protesters
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has said that his administration will continue to protect genuine protesters in the state.
Makinde who addressed citizens of the state in a video shared on social media said that peaceful protest is a part of Nigeria’s democratic process.
He said that his administration has deployed members of Operation Burst to protect protesters.
The governor said that Operation Burst will be positioned at various hotspots in Ibadan to restore normalcy when trouble arises.

Meanwhile, WuzupNigeria reported that an angry mob on Tuesday set ablaze a police station in Ojoo area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
A report says that trouble started when police tried to disperse a crowd of protesters demanding an end to police brutality.
Some hoodlums in the midst of the protesters hurled stones at the police officers which forced them to open fire.
The police officers were outnumbered by the hoodlums who proceeded to burn their station in Ojoo.
We are deploying members of Operation Burst to various hotspots in Ibadan to arrest the situation and restore normalcy. The members of the team will continue to protect genuine protesters and their right to protest.
