#EndSARS: Armed thugs attack unarmed protesters at Lekki
A group of armed thugs have reportedly attacked unarmed peaceful #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos State.
A video which surfaced on Twitter early Friday morning showed the destruction done to properties, including a white Range Rover, at the toll gate.
At the time of this report, it is unknown if anyone was killed but many are feared injured.
A Twitter user, @kuppalo_ said, “Happening right now at Lekki toll gate. Armed men and thugs were sent using big trailers to come crush people’s cars…Everyone ran! Many people were injured, not sure if anyone is dead cos I ran too !! Retweet this as many as possible.”
This will be the third reported thug attack on protesters in Lagos state since Wednesday as witnessed in the Alausa area and Lekki.
While no one has been held responsible for the sponsored attack, the Chairman of the National Union of the Road Transport Workers in Lagos State – Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo and popular land developer, Baba Alado have both denied allegations of sponsoring the attack.
At the time of this report, the Lagos State Government of Babajide Sanwo-Olu has watched and done nothing so far to theses sponsored attacks on peaceful protesters right under its nose.
