Officials of the Imo State Police Command have arrested two notorious armed robbery and murder suspects for allegedly killing one Jude Emeka Onye ‘m’ who just returned from Spain.

The suspects who were paraded before journalists on Tuesday at the Force Headquarters in Owerri, reportedly committed the crime on February 17, in the company of two other accomplices who are now at large.

The suspects whose names were given as Chukwudi Ezeala ‘m’ aka ‘infinity’, 33, hailed from Umuodu Umukabia in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area and Chizoba Ihedioha ‘m’ aka ‘Sunlight’ ,25, from Mgbakam Okohia Obowo Local Government Area of the state.

Reports said the victim and his friends were drinking at a joint along Amainyi Obowo when the hoodlums attacked, robbed them of their mobile phones, other valuables and in the process killed the victim.

Items recovered from the suspects include; one Highlander Jeep without a registration number and one Toyota Corolla with Reg. No. WER729 LC suspected to have been stolen.

Police said the suspects have confessed to the crime and would soon be charged to court for prosecution as the manhunt for fleeing members of the gang intensifies.

Meanwhile, in compliance with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, on disarmament of prohibited firearms and illegal weapons, the command also showed newsmen recovered firearms and ammunition at the force headquarters.
